LESZCZE Gypsum Mine is a strip mine. The deposite of natural gypsum stone it exploits is located at Gacki, near Pińczów (the Świętokrzyskie province). The resources - taking into consideration present mode of exploitation - are estimated to last more than 120 years. Average content of pure gypsum in the deposit is rather significant: it reaches 92 %. The area of this deposit is the part of flat, southern slope of Świętokrzyski Massif. The deposit comes from Miocene, taking into account the stratigraphic aspect.

STAGES OF EXCAVATION OF GYPSUM STONE
Removal of superficial layer and transport to exploited part of excavation (simultaneosus recultivation of the area)
Drilling of deep holes in upper layer of the deposit
Placing of explosives and detonation
Transport of shattered stone to crushing plant
Mechanical crushing and classification of stone to specific sorts and classes
Calcination and partial dehydration of gypsum
A final product - construction gypsum
