NOWY LĄD Gypsum and Anhydrite Mine excavates and processes anhydrite and unique cechstein white gypsum, as well as manufactures products based on these raw materials. Moreover, the mine deals in trade throughout Poland and outside its borders. The company is almost sole producer of special (medical, modelling and dental) gypsum products in Poland. NOWY LĄD places most of its hopes for future with production of construction binders on the base of own resources.

HISTORY CONDENSED

1830	Exploitation of Niwnice mine begins
1955	A public enterprise called Nowy Ląd Anhydrite Mine came into being
1996	Shares of the treasury were sold to Lower Silesian Investment Company Co. (part of KGHM POLISH COPPER capital group)
1997	The company went into partnership with Lubichów Anhydrite Mine and changed name to NOWY LĄD Gypsum and Anhydrite Mine
1998	The Production Plant of Adhesives and Mortars ATLAS purchased 100 % of shares of Lower Silesian Investment Company Co. And this is a present ownership structure: ATLAS - 95.76 % of shares, the treasury - 1.72 % of shares: 447 present and former employees of the company - 2.52 %.
