FLEXIBLE, FAST-SETTING GROUT WITH LONG-LASTING COLOUR
FOR JOINTS 1÷25 mm
FOR EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL USE
• Color Protect- innovative technology giving long lasting grout colour: prevents discolouring and efflorescence; gives increased resistance to dirt, UV radiation and influence of oils and detergents; colour uniformity guaranteed thanks to uniform distribution of pigments.
• Pearl Effect- highly reduced water absorption, thanks to hydrofobic formula , protects substrate against moisture.
• Myco Protect - long lasting fresh look and healthy environment due to protection against mildew, algae.
•Short setting time- light foot traffic permitted after 3 hours since grouting. Quickly available for use.
Flexibility - recommended for tiles fixed on stable arranged wood-based panels and plasterboards; on cement and anhydrite floors, on plasters in wall and floor heating systems; on balconies, terraces, façades; it can be used for grouting the tiles fixed on traditional substrates: cement plaster, cement-lime plaster, cement or anhydrite floors.
Wide range of joint width 1-25 mm – suitable for mosaic as well as large format tiles
High bonding strength to tiles- suitable for ceramic tiles (glazed tiles, terracotta, clinker, gres tiles, china mosaic), cement and terrazzo tiles, and non-absorbent natural stone and stone agglomerate tiles.
Wide range of application areas - internally (dry and wet rooms, such as kitchens, bathrooms, hallways), externally (water and frost resistant) for grouting in heavy used areas (malls, cinemas, airport terminals, railway stations).
Excellent application characteristics- resistance to cracking, scratching, abrasion, temperature from -30°C to +80°C.
User friendly – easy to apply, flexible product allows scratch-free joint filling.
Wide range of colour – 31 colours makes convenient to match tile colour with grout (other grouts are also available: ARTIS STYLE, ARTIS EPOXIDE and silicones: ARTIS SANITARY and SILTON S) and EDGE TRIMS. |

| Before grouting, carefully remove dust and any dirt from joints. A joint between tiles should be of even depth, therefore remove excess of the adhesive from joints. You can begin grouting only after the adhesive on which the tiles had been placed has set; not earlier, however, than after 24 hours. If ATLAS MIG adhesive is used, tile grouting can begin after 4 hours. Just before grouting, clean tile surface with a moist sponge and slightly wet the joints (in particular if grouting begins after complete drying of the adhesive or in case of renovations – in places from which old joints have been removed). |
 |
| ATLAS ARTIS GROUT is a dry compound of top-quality cement binder, specially selected aggregates, fillers, dyes and modifying additives. The compound has low absorptivity, high flexibility, resistance and adhesion. In order to prepare the grout, pour dry compound into a container with suitable amount of water (in proportion: 0.20÷0.23 l of water for 1 kg of dry mortar) and mix until homogenous, manually or mechanically. The grout is ready to use after ca. 5 minutes and after remixing. It maintains its properties for ca. 40 minutes. |
 |
| The grout is placed deep and tightly into joints using a felt or spatula made of rubber. Caution: there may be discolouration of excessively absorptive tiles (e.g. marble). Therefore, try grouting on a small section of a joint before proper tile grouting. After initial grout setting (10- 20 minutes), clean the surface.
Clean using a wet hard sponge with bigger pores or a float with sponge. Excessive soaking of joint surface with water may result in washing out of pigments and washing out of the fresh grout.
At the final stage of work, it is recommended to use an appropriate small piece of cloth or a hard sponge with small pores. Do not clean in dry conditions due to the risk of a colour change resulting from rubbing in the dry mortar into the wet joint. In order to maintain optimum grout setting conditions, keep fresh joints slightly wet for the first few days e.g. by sprinkling or rinsing the surface with clean water. The actual colour of the joint is set when the joint has dried completely - after about 2 - 3 days. Note: due to the possibility of appearance of small differences in colour, it is recommended to use a grout of the same date and batch number in a given place. Avoid excessive drying. Begin grouting tiles outdoors so that the setting mortar is not exposed to precipitation, low temperatures (below +5°C) and high air humidity, at least for three days. Non-observance of the aforementioned recommendations and application of inappropriate amount of water for grout preparation may result in deterioration of grout parameters and discolouration. Differences in joint depth, various types of china and tile washing too early may result in uneven colour shade on grout surface. In joints located in particular parts of tiles (internal and external corners, expansion joints), use appropriate finishing strips e.g. ATLAS EDGE TRIM or fill them in with permanently elastic materials e.g. ATLAS SILTON S silicone.
