Product description

Recommended for bricklaying with traditional, wide joints – allows to correct measurement imprecision of wall elements.
Joins the elements into a stable and durable wall – is a soft and resilient framework in which rigid elements like bricks, stones and blocks are embedded.

Main properties

  • for ceramic, concrete and silicate elements
  • for joints 6 - 40 mm wide
  • high plasticity
  • joins the elements into a stable, durable wall

Main parameters

  • consumption: from 34 kg/ m2 of wall 1/2 brick thick
  • joint thickness: 6 - 40 mm
  • compressive strength: ≥ 5.0 N/mm²

Recommended for bricklaying with traditional, wide joints – allows to correct measurement imprecision of wall elements.
For building above ground floors, cellar walls and foundations – in reinforced and not reinforced elements subject to construction requirements.
Joins the elements into a stable and durable wall – is a soft and resilient framework in which rigid elements like bricks, stones and blocks are embedded.
Protects individual elements of the wall against damage – bricks, blocks, hollow bricks – is a buffer limiting the effect of strain connected with the load from consecutive wall layers and changes in ambient temperature and humidity.
Types of joined elements – bricks, hollow brick and other similar ceramic, limesand and concrete materials.

Compressive strength 10 N/mm².
Factory made – guarantees uniform working parameters of the mortar and technological parameters of the joints after setting.
Easy and comfortable to use – characterized by very good workability, plasticity and high adhesion.
Extended pot life – ca. 4 hours.
The mortar can be supplemented with so-called anti-frost additives allowing to carry out works at lowered temperatures, i.e. below +5°C – the new temperature range of mortar application, the way of its preparation (especially the adjustment of the amount of water added), principles of carrying out works and the mortar setting conditions must be accepted according to the guidelines of the manufacturer of the additive. The amount of the anti-frost agent depends on the content of cement in the mortar – the proportion of cement to fillers in MASONRY MORTAR ATLAS M10 is at 1:3.
Note. The manufacturer of the mortar is in no way responsible for the effects and the quality of the anti-frost agents used.

Preparation of construction elements
Bricks, hollow bricks, or blocks must be clean, free from dust and dry. During storage, protect against rain and excessive heating.
Weather conditions
Prior to works commencement, account both for the weather conditions at which the works will be carried out and conditions at which the setting and drying process will take place.
Mortar preparation
Pour the mortar from the bag into a clean container with the suitable amount of water (see Technical Data for proportions) and mix using a drill with a mixer (or in cement mixer) until homogenous. The mortar is ready to use directly after mixing and should be used up within ca. 4 hours.
Mortar application
The method of application should be in accordance with the masonry work technology with the use of cement mortars. Apply the mortar with a trowel evenly on a horizontal plane of the previously executed layer. Horizontal and vertical joints should be completely filled in with the mortar (unless another method of joining the given type of elements is provided for, e.g. tongue and groove joint). Leave an empty joint (5÷10 mm deep) at external fronts of walls to be plastered. Joint thickness should be even for the whole layer and should be from 6 to 40 mm.

• Adjust the ratio of added water experimentally, following the desired consistency of the mortar, type of substrate and weather conditions. Inappropriate amount of water for mix preparation results in deterioration of strength parameters of the mortar.
• Tools must be cleaned with clean water directly after use. Difficult to remove residues of the set mortar can be removed with the ATLAS SZOP agent.
• Contains cement. May cause respiratory irritation. Causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye damage. May cause an allergic skin reaction. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid breathing dust. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing, eye protection, face protection. If on skin (or hair): Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. If skin irritation or a rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention. If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do – continue rinsing. Follow the instructions of the Safety Data Sheet.
