ATLAS ULTRAGRUNT

ATLAS ULTRAGRUNT

quick drying primer for critical substrates

ATLAS ULTRAGRUNT

Product description

ATLAS ULTRAGRUNT is recommended for preparation of substrates beneath ceramic and stone cladding, beneath ATLAS SMS and ATLAS SAM screeds applied on critical substrates.

Main properties

  • improves bonding, contains quartz aggregate
  • on concrete, terrazzo, ceramic tiles, OSB boards
  • beneath adhesives for ceramic and stone cladding
  • beneath self - leveling masses
  • quick drying – application of next coats just after 4 hours

Main parameters

  • consumption: approx. 0.3 kg of mass for 1 m²
  • well bonding – min. 1 MPa (to concrete)

PROPERTIES

Go top
ATLAS ULTRAGRUNT is a ready – made mass manufactured on basis of polymer resins with addition of selected quartz aggregate.
Characterised by excellent bonding to non – absorbable and perfectly smooth substrates – bonding to concrete min. 1.0 MPa.
Addition of selected quartz aggregate improves bonding of subsequent coats – owing to greater effective surface between substrate and applied material. Forms coarse surface beneath the subsequent coat.
Designed for use in higher temperature – recommended for indoor and outdoor use at temperature from +5°C up to +35°C.
Quick – drying – application of the next coat is possible just after 4 hours.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Go top
The product is not classified as a construction material.

PRIMING

Go top
Substrate preparation
The substrate should be dry, free from dust, dirt, oils, grease and wax. Remove any loose, poorly bonded layers before the emulsion application. Terrazzo should be obligatorily degreased and free off pastes and impregnating sealers (if it was coated with them).
Mass preparation
Product is manufactured as a ready-to-use mass. It must not be mixed with other materials, thinned or thickened. Just before use, the mass should be mixed in order to unify its consistency.
Mass application
Apply uniform coat of mass upon prepared substrate with a roller or a paintbrush.
Application of finishing coats
Cladding fixing or floating can commence approx. 4 hours since ATLAS ULTRAGRUNT application. Application of self – leveling screeds (e.g. ATLAS SMS 15 or SMS 30) upon terrazzo can commence approx. 24 hours since ATLAS ULTRAGRUNT application.

CONSUMPTION

Go top
The average consumption is 0.3 kg of mass for 1 m².

IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Go top
• Clean the tools with clean water directly after use.
• During application and drying, the primed surface should be protected against direct sunlight, wind and precipitation.
• Follow the instructions of the Safety Data Sheet.
• Keep in tightly sealed original and labeled containers. Keep in dry and cool places, protect against overheating (> 30 °C) and freezing - product freezes and irreversibly loses its performance in temperature below 0 °C. Protect against direct sunlight. Incompatible materials: avoid contact with aluminum, copper and alloys of these metals. Shelf life in conditions as specified is 12 months from the production date shown on the packaging.
