SNOW-WHITE GYPSUM FINISH is designed for application of top finishing coats on walls and ceilings as well as for filling local cavities. For indoor use, on mineral substrates, particularly gypsum (gypsum plasters, plasterboards, gypsum blocks), concrete, cement and cement-lime plasters. Uneven mineral substrates, including rough walls made of airbrick and brick (ceramic, silicate, cellular concrete) should be evened with a plaster first. The mortar should not be used on metal, wooden and plastic substrates.

SNOW-WHITE GYPSUM FINISH is a dry mix manufactured on the basis of anhydrite, mineral fillers and modifiers, which make the mortar flexible and easy in application. The finish hardness is optimally set for manual processing and polishing with the use of sandpaper, sanding block or abrasion mesh. After setting, the top finish is snow white, therefore forms perfect substrate for painting, even with one-coat paints. It is ecological, environmentally-friendly, ensures favourable room microclimate with beneficial influence on human health and well-being.

The substrate should be even, strong, stable, dry (moisture content max. 3%), unfrozen, free of bloom and cleaned of impurities which might reduce the gypsum adhesion. Gypsum plasters and gypsum prefabricates do not require priming. In case of plasterboards follow the boards manufacturer recommendations. Very absorbent substrates should be primed with one of the priming agents EURO-GRUNT. In case of smooth substrates, e.g. concrete, use the priming agent INTER-GRUNT. Priming should be executed in accordance to the guidelines listed on the packaging. Any steel elements, which might contact the plaster directly, should be protected against corrosion.

Pour the dry mix into a container with clean water (ratio: approx. 0.5 l of water for 1 kg of gypsum), leave for 3-5 minutes, then mix manually or mechanically until homogenous and free of lumps. The mass prepared for filling the cavities should be denser than the one for top finish.  The mass can be used just after mixing and keeps the working parameters for approx. 60 minutes. Unused mortar, when its setting starts, must not be re-mixed with water and should be removed as it shortens the setting time of the next mix.

Apply the mass onto the substrate with a stainless steel float, firmly pressing towards the substrate. In case of ceilings, apply the mix in strips starting from the window towards the interior, moving the float towards yourself. For walls, it is recommended to apply the mix in strips, starting from the floor towards the ceiling, moving the float upwards. If the second coat needed, one should wait until the first coat sets and dries. The maximum single coat thickness should not exceed 2 mm and total coats thickness should not exceed 3 mm. Minor irregularities can be re-floated and polished after drying. The drying time depends on the coat thickness, temperature and humidity in a room. Avoid direct sunshine and draughts during the coat drying, provide proper room ventilation. Additional recommendations: surface preparation for paint coats and wallpapers – check if the surface is properly dry (max. Moisture up to 1%) and free of dust. Use a primer designed for a particular top coat. Follow the recommendations of the paint or wallpaper manufacturer.
