ATLAS BASE COAT PAINT is used for base coat painting of wall and ceiling surfaces indoors prior to the application of a top coat of acrylic or latex paint.
Particularly suitable as a base coat for gypsum plaster-board substrates or non-uniformly textured surfaces.
Recommended as an base coat for renovation painting of latex paint substrates (matt and semi-gloss).

Types of substrate to be painted – cement and cement-lime plasters, thin-layered mineral plasters, gypsum plasters and finish coats, polymer-based plasters, plasterboards, paper-based wallpa-pers, unplastered walls made of concrete, bricks, blocks, hollow bricks, wood and wood-based products.

- Evens out the absorbency of the substrate – allows the top-coat to dry evenly.
- Improves the adhesion of topcoats to the substrate.
- Reduces painting costs – effectively replaces the first coat of topcoat.
- Improves opacity – reduces the influence of the substrates texture and colour on the final painting effect.
- It is flexible – bridging micro-cracks up to 100 µm.
- It is vapour-permeable – ensuring the walls breathe.
- Ideal for painting with hydrodynamic spray.
